My 3rd Day in SINGAPORE!

Today WAS AWSOME. So we met this family on a cruise ship in Vietnam in 2008 and we visited the family today because they lived in Singapore we played racquet ball and then a game called Ambush were you turned of all the lights and it was like hide and seek in the dark and it was SO much fun. Then they went to Basketball camp so we went home and I slept and watched NCIS.

Then we went back to their house for dinner and also played Grounders in the dark outside on the playground. After dinner we went home and i stayed up waiting for my mumma to get into Singapore but i ended up falling asleep.

2nd day in SINGAPORE!

Today we went to the centre of Orchard and shopped (again..) but then we decided to watch a movie. We watched Prince of Persia it was long and pretty boring i wouldn't watch it again but the theatre was cool it was like HUGE and there were bathrooms IN the theatre, how cool? i know. and the popcorn was really big! then we went home and had Indian for dinner.

So far into my holidays literally i have been doing nothing! I went to my friends house (Chantelle's) on Saturday then packed sat around then left on the 8th to SINGAPORE!

I know this its the 14th but i havent had much time so today we left at 6 to the airport and got in to Singapore checked in to our hotel and then walked around and went shopping. We went to this Turkish restaurant for dinner and went back to our hotel and it was the next morning.

Tomorrow is the 3rd Madness event day! We should've had 4 but we skipped the 3rd quarter one. Im in team RINJANI and on my dodgeball i have Eliseyy :P and Carrie :D ! i cant wait... Also after madness i have to go to my sisters moving on to high school eek!

 Mr. Hughes has to make sure he updates his blog when we go to 7th and when he moves away from JIS. Over the holiday im going to keep my blog updated during the summer (winter for me) when i go to Aus! its going to be pretty boring doing practically nothing all day so it wont be hard!

DANIEL's Snicker Ad




My favourite ad was Daniel's. It was for Snickers, this ad's purpose was to make you buy snicker bars when you watch the ad. The ad is after a long tiring day a snickers bar will cheer you up and make you fell younger and fresher.


The target audience is people tired and old after a long game, boring day at work or just a tiring day. More likely teens- Adults.




I liked this ad because it was funny and interesting make you watch it to the end. This ad was straightforward, persuading and promoted. This ad was promoted with a famous actor with a big reputation being the funny grandma in the Proposal.

Lie vs. Ask any Question

I would pick lie even though i dont want to i could pass any question they ask me and for instence if they ask me if i lie i could just say i didnt. And in Jonas's case it would be a good thing so that he could lie about his day and lie about his dreams. I think that lying is bad exspecially in my religon but if i was to live in Jonas's communite and his world i would pick to lie.

Social life vs. Homework

            Some people think its WAYY okay to skip doing their homework just because their teacher will be cool with it. But it gets you wondering that did they ever stop to think if their teachers really did care? In the inside they notice, yep of course they do I think what they might hate the most is why didn’t they do it?  The real reason they give homework is practice, yeah just practice. If you don’t do your homework and on the test you get a D no its not your teachers fault for teaching you wrong its your own for not doing practice, deal with it!

            Social life?            The truth is social life is much more fun than sitting at your desk for and hour or 2 writing and reading. Going out being around people is better, but if you want to continue going out with friends your parents might expect you to first well pass school?

The end of the year as come in a blink of the eye!

I have 4 parties this week a couple more tests then HAWLALULA summer break!

The Giver

These past two days i have been feeling apprehensive and excited waiting for the ceremony of 12 to come. Here it comes in order there goes 1, 2,3 ... 18 then 20 WHAT?! At the end of the assignments just to make

it worse, they call me up and i have given been selected not assigned as the next receiver of memory, you 

should have seen the look on the crowds faces almost as confused as me. What does this mean, What will i do? But i have realized lately that i do see things differently from others and maybe this is why i have been selected, i will wait to find out, i am so confused!

Journal time

Today was pretty average. We had an oral in French and learned about puberty in Health. -_- . I had swimming this morning i woke up at 4:30 and went to swimming at 5. i was tired and had no breakfast so now im writing this STARVING.

Without touch my afternoons are empty! becuase i swim in the morning and gymnastics on only monday and friday. I have 2 partys this weekend including a gymnastics competition. Overall my life is pretty boring!.

But yesterday it kinda shocked me when on the way to math there was this blood trail to the nurse and i found out that santi had hit his head on the door and so his forehead is cut. Ouch!

2 more full weeks of school then summer break!

Summer break

I cant wait to be finished with homework, swimming, gymnastics and 6th grade! but when im in australia i have like no friends because ive never lived there and so i pretty much do nothing but its a getaway from normal life.

This year i get to visit eddie!! yeah thats right a real person! and im also driving around australia which is comci comca (so so in french :P) And i also get to visit my Aussie friends that now live in Canberra but used to go to JIS and their like family-family bestfriends and i consider them as family.

Im kinda stuck on what to write because theres nothing that interesting so ill end it here!

6 ELEMENTS OF A MYSTERY!

1. All whodunits have a crime that need to be solved.

2. There are alwauys dectectives, sleuths to solve the crime.

3. There is always evidence to prove the truth of the crime.

4.  Sometimes there is supsence and danger in solving the crime.

5. In whodunits there are suspects who might have done the crime.

6. There are clues to help solve the crime!

In English class we watched an episode of Monk, in this episode there were three killings. All related to voodoo dolls. The first victim an old lady died by a brain hemorrhage from a home run baseball, when they searched her apartment where she lived alone a box with a doll and  a baseball on the head was sent 3 days before her death. The second victim a man hit by lighting on a golf course same thing happened voodoo doll with a lighting bolt stuck in his head and the third victim was a man who had a heart attack and on another doll had a heart.

The police thought the main suspect the shop owner where all the dolls had come from but he had a stone hard alibi defending him. But in fact it was a paramedic, who was the neice of the victim that got killed by a heart attack. She was a paramedic who was there at both the other crime scenes where she worked on job. The killings were accident not meant to happen but she took their identity and mailed the boxes to herself changed the name and made the doll before the police came looking. She wanted to make her uncles killing sound related to all the other ones but she dosed him with pills so that she could get his inheritence of money!

Luckily monk was clever enough to piece it all together! I thought this was SUCH a clever idea for an episode and the killer (or the director) had a fantastic idea. It was very cute and i thought they would have competiton for other crime shows with that episode.

Plastiki, setting sail!

On the 23rd of March 2010 the plastiki set sail for a 11,000 journey from San Francisco to Sydney, Australia. After 3 years of building and designing the boat which is made of 37,000 recycled bottles has finally set sail across the pacific!. You may think this boat doesn't have much to it well you thought wrong this boat is very high tech with an extra cabin. The boat is very well equipped for the journey. Extra things they have put on are  solar panels, a wind mil and a hydroponic vegetable garden which provides the crew with vegetables.

David de Rothschild decided to build this boat because he wanted a different way of people to look at using and recycling plastic bottles. So he built this boat entirely from that idea.  He also wanted to build the boat to help the pollution problem in the world.

I think this boat was a brilliant idea because ive always wanted to find out a way to use all the recycling bottles and stuff in an interesting way. I think its DISGUSTING and DISTURBING about how much plastic and garbage is left in the ocean!

yesterday and today..

 okay so i had PE yesterday we are still doing fitness testing but we finished yesterday! i think i did pretty good on my sit up and push up test because i got 150 for sit ups and 31 for push ups.. i inproved in more than two things so i can keep my A.
I also had Spanish and i had a test, summative, test before basket ball and i did pretty good considering i had to rush with it. The listening part was terrible but the rest was easy and i still maintain my grade YEAHH!!

What's new with Saigee bear?

Nothing much has happened but that one of my 3 best friends are moving this Friday, which has put me in not the best mood. Also my other best friend ( the girl with the red highlights and the peace sign on her face) Amalia who now got a MAC!! like me, and so now we have the same phone and laptop!! I am know obsessed with the show glee it is fantastical! I just finished gymnastics its the worst training ever! I was doing the splits when I pulled my hamstring! it hurts soo much...

Haiti earthquake update

Haiti Update

a week after the devastating earthquake in the least developed country in the Americas.

              

          A week after the earthquake in Haiti, The searches are still being done to the  Haitians to help find their loved ones. Chances of finding more people still alive is very low. Aid is being sent in to help the peole in Haiti keep healthy and help them get better, but there is a bottlecap with letting the aid in  because of such low resources. There is low supplies everywhere and people are getting very sick and are in despret need of aid. There are low  fuel and water.

Earthquake disaster in Haiti

The devastation has killed many, in Haiti a country that is still recovering a dangerous hurricane  in 2008.

A few days ago there was a disaster in Haiti, a 7.0 quake hit. The death toll is still rising and people fear it will get up to 100,000. This photo is of a girl probably covered in a building. This is a part of the disaster. Other countries are taking part in helping the residents in Haiti.

This is another photo of the port-au-prince presidential palace. Which has been standing for a long time. When recently it has been crushed by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake in Haiti. Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere.

Movies 

     Before I went to Bali for my holidays i watched a couple movies in the theatre. First i watched Avatar while i was Christmas shopping. I came with my brother, dad and friend. It was so long almost three hours!! Though it was long it was good. The movie was very predictable. A couple days later I watched Sherlock Holmes. It was my favourite out of the two and quite funny. They were good movies even if they didnt get a good reveiw. Did you know that when they first decided to make avatar it was 15 years ago! and i cant wait till the next Sherlock Holmes comes out the first was really good and i suggest you go watch it.

Family

I spent most of the holiday with my family. From Christmas on to my Bali holiday. We drove to Amed, the east of Bali and went snorkeling and sailing. Then we drove back to Seminyak and had a nice holiday in the villa. I think New Years was messed up because we all had different times and so we didnt know when it was new years.  Bali was great, i think it would've been better with family but i still liked it.

Today we had breakfast and then went to KDT. We spent practically the whole day there. When we got hoem we watched movies. Then i had a shower to get ready for dinner. My family and i went to Mykanos. We got home and went to bed.

"2010"

Oh My God! its 2010! TOday we just lazed around and watched movies and swam. After we had lunch we went to the beach and did the usual surfing. We went home and swam more and had steak for dinner. We played the wii and went to bed.

Thursday 31st 

"New years eve"

Today is New years eve! In the morning i totally lost track of time! We had breakfast got dressed and went to the beach and rode the waves! We got back in the afternoon had lunch. A few minutes later guests came.    A New Zealand family that goes to Bis came and Ms. Fisher, Mr. Dico and Rosie and Harriet. I barely remember anything except for the sky lighting up with fireworks and staying up till 2.

Wednesday 30th

Today we're driving back to Seminyak to our villa. First, i had breakfast and then went to shower and pack up. After that we got ready and drove the 2 and a half hour drive back to Seminyak. This time the car was more squishy because my uncle came. For lunch we went to this Danish place. Once we got there we went to bed.

Tuesday 29th

Today is our first day in Bali! Early in the morning. We had breakfast and then went on a big boat with literally everything and had a long boat trip to the first snorkel location. Once we had 2 snorkels we sailed back to the hotel. I just slepped because i had a really bad night sleep -_-.  We got back at 4. I swam and then played pool and then ate dinner. Finally after a long day i went to sleep.
